My interest in the cell form began during a fiber project while studying at the University of Kentucky. Faced with a giant pile of shibori-dyed wool, and not a clue what to do with it all, I just started working. Eventually a petri dish of cells evolved out of the pile and I was smitten. 

When I started to take ceramics classes I continued with the circle forms

Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Laurie has been a resident in Lexington for the past ten years. She attended the University of Kentucky and received her B.F.A. in May of 2010.  Since graduating she has
