....in a new program for artists called Access to Market developed by the Kentucky Small Business Development Center. If I get chosen I will be one of 50 artists who:
"will receive step-by-step business coaching, product development, pricing expertise, and wholesale relationship strategies. In addition participants will build an on-line presence with websites and social media, develop wholesale clients, and move from local to regional and national sales via participation in regional and national trade shows."
It's a year long program. Oh. My. God. I want to get accepted into this program SO badly. (notice that I bolded, underlined, made it larger, and italicized it...that's pretty badly) I filled out the application immediately and have been trying not to think about it. Trying not to think about my little cells at a national trade show...eeeee! Okay, okay, calm down Laurie. There are still 11 more days until the deadline and after that I don't know how long it will take before they will get back with people on whether or not they've been chosen...it could be another month! Until then I am just going to cross my fingers (and toes) and try to distract myself, which luckily is pretty easy to do!
