Quickie Update 3.28.13

  • Ollie is doing okay. During the first week of his chemo treatment he'd been super energetic but the next few weeks left him kind of blah. He's still eating (although not as much as I'd like), drinking, being social, and giving us hell when it comes to us giving him his pill so that's good at least. This Friday marks chemo shot number four and then he gets a three week break. I am looking forward to seeing if his energy increases.

  • I've applied to two of the larger art fairs in Kentucky. The Woodland Art Fair and St. James Court. SJC is the number one rated art fair in the country. You betcha I'll be shitting myself if I get into that! Well, Woodland too! I probably should have applied to more fairs but I figure that I'd just go big right out of the gate. In related news, I bought a tent! Now I just need walls, lights, etc. etc. and I'll be all set!  I am trying hard to find used displays to cut costs (displays can cost ($1200+). "Just" hahaha.
  • I'm currently waiting to see if I was accepted into a show that I applied to in Annapolis, Maryland. If I get in it will be my second show outside of Kentucky, the first being in St. Louis. I went to that opening in St. Louis and had such a great time (CITY MUSEUM!) so I am kind of hoping that if I get in that we can go to Maryland for the opening but....
  • I think we will be selling our house soon! Nothing officially official yet, just doing some prep work as far as getting financing taken care of for the next house and prepping the house to get photographed and put on the market. This includes decluttering, packing, going through crap, and painting the bedrooms. Which I really, really hate doing so I think we're going to hire someone to do that. As lazy as that makes me feel.

Laurie,

I have a very heavy duty cardboard display that you can have! It is left over from my dad's company and then when I had a booth at GenCon with ToolKitts. It is taking up space in my office and pissing off my boss.

I searched online and can't find a picture of them, but it is light weight, easy to put up, and easily merchandised for your own thing!
